Let me tell you, moving from California to Tennessee was a rude awakening when I found out liquor stores weren't open on Sundays..and that you couldn't buy anything but BEER on Sundays like WHAT?!
Back home, I could go to CVS and buy a bottle of Patron, like why hasn't the south caught up with 2018 yet? lol Although I am used to how things work around here now, I'm still not okay with it. So I am happy to see that these things are being worked on lol
The Tennessee House recently approved a measure that would let us buy wine or liquor on Sundays (or wine AND liquor because we're grown ups and we can do what we want lol). Lawmakers voted on Monday night to lift those restrictions that were created in the Mesozoic Era..BUT it all still needs to be approved by the Senate and the governor.
If everything gets approved, liquor stores could be open on Sundays beginning immediately and grocery stores wouldn't see this change until January 2019. We also still wouldn't be able to buy on Easter, Christmas & Thanksgiving...but that's no problem..we can stock up before hand. ;)
Are we here for this?!
