A teacher at Dalton High School in north Georgia was recently arrested and is in custody after he barricaded himself in his classroom and fired a shot from his handgun outside of the classroom window.
Apparently, the 53 year old teacher, Randal Davidson, refused to let students into his classroom while he was planning. That's when the principal tried to unlock the door with his key in an attempt to enter the classroom, leading Davidson to fire a shot from his handgun outside an exterior classroom window.
There were no reported gun related injuries THANK GOD. However, a female student DID injure her ankle running through the school.
This of course is circling back around to the conversation about whether or not teachers should be armed (to help prevent school mass shootings). With so many people AGREEING, do you still think teachers should be armed after this recent event?
Police tweeted that Randall Davidson would face charges of aggravated assault, carrying a weapon on school grounds, terroristic threats, reckless conduct, possession of gun during commission of a crime, and disrupting a public school.
