Chance the Rapper continues to put on for his city, and it does NOT go unnoticed!
Recently Chance hosted a Social Works summit in Chicago to announce that he had raised $2.2 million for Chicago Public Schools since starting his New Chance Fund back in June.
According to The Fader, for the next three years, Chance will be donating $100,000 to arts and education programs within 20 of the Chicago Public Schools. The schools that were chosen for the donations were selected on a need-based factor, as well as the principal’s commitments to better the programs.
Chance said, “Funding for public schools is the single most important investment a community can make. As a parent and proud product of CPS, I’m committed to helping Chicago’s children have quality learning experiences."
