With all the fires happening here in our beloved cities we thank all the firefighters and first responders on the scene of the fires. We also want to thank the SPCA of Monterey for taking care of so many animals that families aren't able to take with them when they are displaced from their homes. They've got so much on their hands right now that they need all the help they can get. Here is a link to donate if you can & the following are some items they are in need of:
Donations can be taken to their shelter or shipped to 1002 Monterey-Salinas Highway, Salinas CA 93908):
- Small stainless steel pet food bowls (like this or similar)
- Small cat litter pans without lids (like this or similar)
- Slip leashes (like this or similar)
- XL dog kennels (like this or similar)
- M dog kennels (like this or similar)
- X-Pens (like this or similar)
- Horse water troughs, 15-20 gallon (like this or similar)
- Vegetables for our many evacuated tortoises, such as squash, carrot, sweet potato, dark leafy greens (dandelion, mustard green, etc)
- UVA+UVB Light bulbs for our evacuated reptiles (like this or similar)
- Bags of Timothy Hay for rabbits and small pets
- Blankets and towels
