Governor Gavin Newsom announced the 5 guidelines for reopening schools in California for the fall school year. We're getting closer to the time when the school year is typically set to start. More questions continue to arise about whether or not schools should open up again and parents continue to have concerns about the safety of their kids returning to school. As mentioned in the video, the counties that remain on the watch list will not be able to reopen schools unless they have been off the watch list for 14 consecutive days. These are the 5 guidelines that make up the California Pandemic Plan For Schools (more details on each in the video) :
- Safe in-person school based on local health data
- Mask requirements
- Physical distancing and other adaptations
- Regular testing and dedicated contact tracing
- Rigorous distance learning
