Children as young as 5 years old are working in mines in order to get the mineral called "mica." That mineral is what provides the shimmer that you see in so many makeup products.
Go through your makeup bag and look through the ingredients list and you may be surprised to find out that a lot of those products contain Mica.
Seeing the conditions in which these kids and their families are living is extremely hard to watch. It makes you rethink some of the minor things we complain about on the daily right?
Although there is no way of telling where the mica came from and if children were the ones mining for it, it still leaves that thought in your mind right?
