NAV is back with his brand-new album, and it's already getting rave reviews from fans.
On Friday, March 28, the XO Records signee dropped his fifth studio album OMW2 REXDALE. The 14-track album includes the lead single "REAL ME" featuring Metro Boomin along with other collaborations like "UNLIMITED" featuring Playboi Carti (plus vocals by The Weeknd) and "YOU" with Don Toliver. NAV executive produced the project himself alongside Amir "Cash" Esmailian with assistance from Wheezy, Ojivolta, and more. Lil Uzi Vert was also supposed to appear on the album, but NAV said he wasn't able to clear the song's sample in time.
Fans around the world have chimed in with their thoughts about NAV's album following its release. Some fans believe the project is the 35-year-old's best work yet with more quotables than ever before. They point to tracks like "UNLIMITED," the outro "PAIN AWAY" and "BACK 2 BUSINESS." On the latter track, several fans believed he fired shots at Drake's OVO camp amid the Grammy award-winning rapper's beef with XO co-founder The Weeknd. They thought he rapped "OVO body, I build b***h," when he actually said "Over your body, I build b***h."
OMW2 REXDALE is the follow-up to NAV's 2022 LP Demons Protected By Angels. Since then, the Canadian rapper and producer has hopped on collaborations with Metro Boomin, Vory, Belly and French Montana for their respective albums. Before his latest project dropped, NAV also joined forces with Cash Cobain and Bay Swag for their song "6AM THOUGHTS."
