TikTok Star Calls Ariana Grande Shading COVID-19 Partiers A Marketing Move

Ariana Grande isn’t too pleased to see influencers partying amid the COVID-19 pandemic and TikTok star Bryce Hall has some thoughts.

"She's not wrong but like unnecessary," Hall said during his recent appearance on the Hollywood Raw podcast. "Yeah. It's unnecessary to call out a specific group, especially when there's other people doing it. Because she knew that TikTokers have, like, a high audience. She knew a lot of people would agree, because there's a lot of people that hate TikTokers especially. I mean, it was obviously like a marketing move and good for her. But like, she's not wrong."

Grande’s comments about influencers out and about during the pandemic didn’t specifically cite TikTok heavyweights, but the sentiment was clear. "Couldn't we have just stayed at home for a few more weeks, like all the other countries that were fine and are better than we are? Did we really all need to go to f*cking Saddle Ranch that badly that, like, we couldn't have waited for the deathly pandemic to pass?" she asked during her hour-long discussion with Zach Sang. "Like, we all really needed to put on our cowgirl boots and ride a mechanical bull that bad. We all needed that Instagram post that badly?"

Yet, her stance tracks with her overall approach to COVID-19. In fact, Grande encouraged her fans to stay home this Halloween. "Please dress up, take pics, but then get in your pjs and watch some scary movies. going to parties right now is unsafe and absolutely not worth it. please be safe. happy halloween everyone!" she wrote on Twitter.
