PARTYNEXTDOOR Returns With 2 New Songs— 'The News' & Drake-Assisted 'Loyal'

PARTYNEXTDOOR is back!

More than two years after the release of his last solo project, PND made his long-awaited return on Friday (November 22), dropping not one, but two new tracks: "The News" and "Loyal" featuring Drake. The singles, which Party teased on social media earlier this week, only add to the anticipation of PND's third studio album, presumably titled Club Atlantis.

On "The News," Party sings about a girlfriend not being deserving of him, but he admits that he rather be hurt by her than let her go. "Do you deserve me? No way (No way)/ But can I let you go to anybody?/ Never in a million (Lifetimes)/ But my love just reached the ceiling," he sings.

On "Loyal," Drake and PND reflect on their love lives, singing about their loyalty to women. "All the way 'round, I'm loyal (Oh)/ I got money on me and I'm loyal (Oh)/ I got money in my pocket, I'm loyal, ooh (Oh)," PND sings. "Pain goes away when I'm tipsy (Oh)/ Pain goes away when you're with me (Me, oh)/ Even when your troubles all look risky It's all under control."

The single marks the 11th collaboration between PND and Drake. As fans know, Party is signed to Drake’s label, OVO Sound, and was one of the producers on Drake‘s 2018 album Scorpion. The Canadian artist even provided some background vocals on the project.

One year ago, Party tweeted that he's taking his time with his next album, adding that "it’s straight party & unapologetic." He has reportedly been working on the project since 2017 after he released Colours 2 and Seven Days .
