Listen to Lil Wayne on iHeartRadio

Lil Wayne's retirement may be ending before it even began.

On Tuesday, the rapper took to Twitter and hinted that his plans to retire after his Tha Carter V album were all a big April Fools' Day joke.

Previously, "Weezy" has been insistent about the upcoming album being his final solo project.  He even recently told MTV News that only a $25 to $35 million pay check could convince him to do another solo album.  Tha Carter V will hit stores later this year.

Lil Wayne isn't the first artist to tease his retirement on Twitter.  Last year, Justin Bieber claimed he was "officially retiring," but later walked back the Tweet.
